Great Food Trips in Baguio City 2017

My friends and I had a 2-day short trip in Baguio City last February of this year just to break away from the stressors in our workplace. One of the best things to do in Baguio City is to have a food trip.

Tea House Restaurant

Located along Session Road of Baguio City, Tea House Restaurant and Bakeshop is known for its baked products which served thousands of local customers for many years. It is said that every kid in Baguio had at least one birthday cake from Tea House Restaurant. Aside from baked goodies, they also offer the usual mix of Filipino and Chinese cuisine such as chopseuy (mixed vegetables with pork, chicken or seafoods) and pancit (noodle dish).

Bihon Canton and Chicken with Vegetables at Tea House Restaurant

Similar to other restaurants in the city, their servings are always huge and the prices are really affordable. We tried their chicken with vegetables for only PHP 135.50 (USD 2.70)Pancit Canton-Bihon is also part of their top-sellers and we availed one for only PHP 265 (USD 5.30) which is good for 3-4 persons. The taste is at par with the other restaurants around Baguio City. Too bad we were not able to try some of their baked goodies because of time constraints. Overall, our short stay in Tea House Restaurant is satisfying.

Wrapping Up

Trying different food and cuisine is one of the best ways to enjoy your stay here in Baguio City. Their servings are huge and the prices are really affordable. It is a perfect haven especially for health conscious people who preferred fresh green leafy vegetables rather than various types of meat. Seafoods are also available but expect the price will be a little bit higher since the city is located in the mountain range of Cordillera, hundred of miles away from the nearest sea.

We also learned a bit of history from native foods in the region like the pinikpikanAbove all, our gastronomic journey in Baguio City is delightful and memorable.
