Good Taste Restaurant
In terms of affordability, Good Taste Cafe and Restaurant is the sure winner. We arrived in Baguio City at around 1:00 AM; both hungry and tired. Good Taste is a 24-hour restaurant; hence, we ate dinner in this famous food place.
The interior looks like a school cafeteria, but don’t judge the place itself based on what they offer. Good Taste Restaurant serves delicious Filipino dish at a large serving and at a very affordable price.
The Enormous Serving
We ordered their Sinigang na Baboy (Pork Stew with Tamarind) for 5-6 persons. In Manila, a serving of 5-6 is not enough to satisfy a group of 4 people, because the amount is really small. Here in Baguio, we were surprised on the quantity served on us. I think it’s not just for 5-6 persons, it’s for more than 6!
We also ordered one of their best-sellers, the savory buttered chicken for 4 persons. The size of their chicken is comparable in Manila; huge and buttery. You’ll never run out of butter in every crease or corner of each piece; their chicken is simply flavorful.
The surprising part? All of these only costs for less than PHP 500 (USD 10), and we weren’t able to consume everything due to its huge servings. If you are a small group, ordering a meal with 3-4 servings here in Baguio is enough. Do not be deceived! The photographs of their food on their menu looks small, but the serving is enormous.
